Swinging Through Life collects twelve tiny tales about dancing, confidence, romance and the unexpected turns life takes on and off the dance floor.
Each story began with a monthly writing prompt, then Renee added her own extra challenge: the story also had to include swing dancing.

Behind the Story
Swinging Through Life was Renee’s second flash fiction collection.
She wrote the stories as part of the Furious Fiction flash fiction competition run by the Australian Writers’ Centre. Each month, a prompt was released. Renee took that prompt, then added another layer: every story also had to have something to do with swing dancing, a passion she has had since her twenties.
The writing prompts are included at the end of the book. Renee also released these stories, along with the stories from Wife, Mother, Woman, as a podcast called Fun-Size Fiction.
