Unflappable came from a big chat session sharing teacher tales. Some of the more unbelievable stories that actually happened made their way into the book. Yes, Renee’s friend really did catch a magpie mid-flight after it flew through an open window into the middle of the class she was teaching. She threw it back out the window and carried on like nothing had happened. That level of calm became the spirit of Miss Evans.
